History
GRACE FELLOWSHIP MINISTRIES BECOMES GRACE LINK INTERNATIONAL
In 1991 Grace Fellowship Ministries was founded in Huntsville, Alabama as counseling and training ministry to provide a Christ-centered alternative to traditional secular counseling. We offered local pastors - who are often inundated with counseling needs - as well as other professionals, families and friends, the opportunity to refer hurting people to GFM where they received sound, biblically based, Christ-centered help with their individual and family needs. Our message was distinctive and Biblical - you can know freedom and victory in your Christian life by appropriating Christ as your life and walking in the abundance of grace which He makes available to us (Galatians 2:20, 21; Romans 5:17). In 2004 the ministry name was officially changed to Grace Link International.
Between June of 1991 and the present, GFM/GLI had provided over 6,000 hours of counseling to several hundred different individuals. We have presented 35 Grace Life conferences which have been attended by about 1,500 people and 10 Grace Life workshops in which 100 people have been equipped to do informal lay counseling. In addition, we have led five 10-month Advanced Training groups which have equipped 25 individuals to do long term one-on-one counseling in their ministries. An added highlight is that my wife, Sandra, and I were also able to invest two years as missionaries in Eastern Europe, offering the same powerful message of grace and identity in Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia and Albania. In 2004 we added Colombia South America to the list of international venues to receive the Grace Life training. And we continue to enjoy the opportunity of traveling to other countries to see this message of grace and truth liberate people worldwide.
